Best Traditional Group
Best Song of the Year ("Ghosts of Tombstone")
Best Traditional Album of the Year ("Ghosts of Tombstone")
Instrumentalist of the Year - Walt (several years running)
Best Collaboration between Poet and Songwriter:
(Walt with Les Buffham - "Ten More Miles"; "Thinking 'bout Montana")
"Western Tales" was nominated in the top Six
for Best Traditional Album by a Duo or Group in 2011.
In addition, out of 833 artists who were reported to have been
played by western DJs during 2012,
Trails & Rails placed in the top 30 in air play.
Walt and Paula (as Trails & Rails), were the Duo Harmony winners at the
